Alex the Brave is the name for a W-Tales book in which Alex Tiger and April Keymon go to school.

Storyline

Chapter 1: Alex, Meet April!

Alex Tiger had the best summer of his life! He explored the woods and read at the library, it was so much fun. He was just making notes on a palm tree he was examining with his magnifying glass when suddenly, BANG! He looked up and saw a Cheeky Monkey with a popped balloon. The monkey told him her name was April and they immediately became friends.

Chapter 2: Good News?

Alex ran away as fast as his legs could carry him, all the way to his house. When he got there, he was covered in scratches from running through a rosebush and April called him a scaredy-cat as he ran away. His mom fixed him up and he told her about April. She told him that she had great news and handed him a Kinzville Academy brochure, "I'm not going", he said.

Chapter 3: First Day Jitters

The next morning when Alex woke up, he freaked out, the brochure showed people sitting together, he did not like sitting with other people. His mom told him that he might make some new friends, there was only one way to find out. The doorbell rang and Alex went to get it, it was April, apparently she was going to the Kinzville Academy as well!

Chapter 4 :The First Day

Alex tried to be slow all morning, he figured that if he was slow enough, he would miss school. Eventually, his mom got him into a car and they drove to school. Alex tried a desperate last-minute argument but then April knocked on the car window and April pulled him into the school. Through the doors they heard a voice, "Where are you two Webkinz Supposed to be". They turned around to see a very tall mean-looking cow...

Chapter 5: The First Class

The Cow introduced herself as Ms. Cowoline, the school superintendent. Alex and April yelled the first class at her and she took them there (to creativity). They walked and walked when finally they reached a door with the word "Creativity" written in Blue paint. They went inside and the teacher, Miss Daisy, asked them to introduce themselves.

Chapter 6: The First Class (continued)

April stood up and told all the class about how she loved school and wanted lots of friends. Then she pulled Alex up and introduced the whole class to him. Alex didn't say anything and the whole class began to laugh at him, April tried to defend him but Alex ran away. Outside in the hallways, he tripped on the cart of paint and fell right in front of Ma. Cowoline. She took him back to class.

Chapter 7: Then Things Got Worse

As everybody was cleaning up, Alex arrived back in class, he picked up a sponge and started cleaning. As he was cleaning, the whole class was teasing him under their breath so Miss Daisy couldn't hear. Miss Daisy got them on their way to the running track, on the way there, April told Alex off for getting them despised by the rest of the class. Alex went first. He ran under all of them, knocking them all over as he went. Miss Daisy told him off and sent him to the principal's office.

Chapter 8: Ms. Cowoline

On the way to Ms. Cowoline's office, he was worrying about what she would do. He worried that his mom would be sad because he got kicked out of school. When Ms. Cowoline got to her office, he hid behind a plant. She looked everywhere for him. Finally, he came out from behind the plant and April got sent in after him.

Chapter 9: Good at Something

The secretary told Ms. Cowoline that April had been jumping from hurdle to hurdle instead of hurdle to ground. Ms. Cowoline asked them to take a seat and asked them what was wrong. They told Ms. Cowoline that they weren't good at anything and that the whole class hated them. Ms. Cowoline told them to come back tomorrow and she'd set something up.

Chapter 10: Team Awesome

The next morning, April and Alex were waiting outside Ms. Cowoline's office. They were about to leave when the secretary told them Ms. Cowoline was on the field. Ms. Cowoline told the class that they were going to play games. The first game was capture the flag, Alex and April rocked at it! Alex was quiet so he could sneak around and get the flag and April was fast so she could tag the other team, their team won. The next game was Trivia, Alex used his immense intellect while April cheered them on. Alex and April's team won again. The final game was the name game, Alex thought the day was going downhill now...

Chapter 11: Something About Alex & April

Sara Cat introduced herself as a ballerina, Frank Googles introduced himself as a swimmer. It was April's turn, she introduced herself well. Then came Alex's turn, he started off slow but eventually he got good at it, he and April even made new friends (Sara Cat and Frank Googles respectively).

Trivia

  • Ms. Cowoline is referred to as both the superintendent and the principal.
