Berry Fest
Berry Fest is an annual celebration in Webkinz. The event typically takes place in June. During Berry Fest, players can collect floating Goo-Goo Berries, Polarberries, and berries from Jumbleberry Fields. Feeding a Goo-Goo Berry or Polarberry to a pet awards a random prize from a selection of items that changes each year.
Additional non-annual Berry Fest events include challenges, login gifts, and Webkinz Newz click-to-win promotions. Berry Fest items are also available at the eStore in June each year.
History
Berry Fest was introduced in December 2006 to promote the release of Go-Go Googles! at the Arcade. From 2006–2011, the event was celebrated as Goo-Goo Berry Fest. During the celebration, players could collect floating Goo-Goo Berries each day. Feeding the berry to a pet did not award a prize.
In 2010, three click-to-win items were available: Goo-Goo Berry, Goo-Goo Berry Juice Box, and Goo-Goo Berry Pie. The juice box and pie were previously released as Kinzville Academy Recess prizes. The Goo-Goo Berry Float recipe food was also introduced, which is made by combining the three click-to-win foods in a blender.
In 2012, the event was renamed Berry Fest. Players could collect floating Polarberries and Jumbleberry Fields berries in addition to Goo-Goo Berries. During the 2013 celebration, Growing Seed packets for the Jumbleberry Fields berries were released at the eStore.
In 2017, Goo-Goo Berries and Polarberries were changed to award prizes when fed to a pet. The prize pools for the berries change each year and an archive can be found in the Prizes section. Sky Berry seeds were also released at the eStore in 2017. Feeding a Sky Berry to a pet randomly awards one of the four Jumbleberry Fields berries.
Recurring annual Berry Fest events have remained relatively constant each year since 2017.
