Leprechaun Chase

In 2010, Ganz decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Webkinz World by hosting a Clubhouse event that runs during the month of March. Players had to search the clubhouse in hopes of seeing Lucky the Leprechaun. If Lucky entered the same room players were in, players could click on him and were awarded one of six Jelly Coins. When players collected all six coins they were awarded with the Leprechaun Chase Grand Prize. Only one grand prize could be won per account, but after receiving it, players could continue to receive extra Jelly Coins from the leprechaun if they wished.

How to Play

The Leprechaun Chase event ran as follows:

• You had to be in the room before Lucky the Leprechaun appeared.
• When the the Leprechaun appeared, you heard a jingle and phrases to let you know he was there.
• When pets received a piece of candy. the words "Good day to you!" appeared over their heads.
• When pets were checking their candy collection, a clover appeared over their heads

In 2011, Ganz introduced the ability to purchase Jelly Coins. As with other promotions, players not wanting to partake in the event or missing some coins were able to purchase them in their Webkinz World account with eStore points.

How to Find the Leprechaun

Each year since 2010 (excluding the events in 2018 and 2023), players hunted in the Clubhouse in order to find Lucky the Leprechaun. When Lucky entered a room, he would suddenly appear in the room accompanied by a jingle and one of his phrases. Lucky is always quick and bounces from room to room throughout the Clubhouse. He is not exclusive to any one room in the Clubhouse and only stays in each room for a minute before moving on. For players that were having trouble finding Lucky, Webkinz Newz provided the tip that staying in a room for 30 minutes almost guaranteed you'd see the Leprechaun as he made his rounds.

In 2018, Ganz switched up the format of the Leprechaun Chase event. During this Leprechaun Chase, Lucky the Leprechaun hid in ads around Webkinz World. Once players found the ad Lucky was hiding in, they clicked on him to earn a Community Code. Every day there was a different ad with a different prize and Community Code, so players would have to visit Webkinz World every day to collect all nine.

Since 2023, the Leprechaun Chase was moved to the Kinzville Park. Lucky the Leprechaun was featured in the same spot all day and didn't disappear, however his location changed each day. Once players found him and clicked on him, they were given a prize. Each year the set of prizes changed. In 2023, a Lucky Coin Gift Box was added to their Dock. Inside players could find 1 of 5 collectible coins when they dragged the box from their Dock into their pet’s room. On St. Patrick’s Day, the Leprechaun gave out a Lucky Coin Safe to store the coins. In 2024, a different colored Leprechaun plush toy could be collected each day. On St. Patrick’s Day, the Leprechaun gave out a Leprechaun Display Case that players could use to store their plushy collection.

Leprechaun Chase Collection

Every Leprechaun Chase event since the first one in 2010, except for the 2018 and 2023 events, have had the same rules. Players must first collect all six Jelly Coins before unlocking the grand prize. The Jelly Coins are the same every year and come in each color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet) with players being able to collect one for each color during the event. The Jelly Coins are a food that can be fed to your pet.
