The Mix and Match Trading Card Game was a game located in the Tournament Arena, released in 2007. The game could either be played online in the Tournament Arena or using physical trading cards, though owning physical cards was not a requirement to play the game in Webkinz World. The game is designed for anywhere from 2 to 4 players.

Gameplay

The Mix and Match Trading Card Game is a much simpler game than Trading Card Challenge, as it is designed for younger audiences. Mix and Match requires at least 40 base cards, and does not require Action or Challenge cards. For more information on card types, see Trading Card Challenge#Card Types.

To play the game, randomly choose a player to go first. After shuffling the deck, deal 7 cards to each player and take the top card on the deck and flip it over. Place this card on the table next to the deck - this becomes the discard pile. Each player may take one of three actions on their turn:

  • Discard a card and draw a new card
  • Place a card from their hand at the bottom of the deck and take the top card off the discard pile
  • Lay down a set of cards and draw three new cards

Sets can be built in two different ways: mixed or matched. Mixed sets consist of four cards where none of the Traits on the cards match. For example, a Character, a Game, a Pet and a Recipe would be a mixed set. A matched set would be four cards where the Trait is the same - four Character cards or four Game cards. The first player to collect four sets wins the game.
