Bananza Tropical Troubles is a game in the Webkinz Arcade game introduced in late March 2008. The game is a sequel to the game Bananza. The object of the game is to collect pairs of bananas while different 'jungle critters' (spiders, bees, and wasps) block your path.

Object

The object is to get the highest score possible by collecting bananas. Avoid the spiders, bees, and flies. If one of these bugs touches you, a life is lost.

Touch coconuts and pineapples to make them fall and knock out the jungle critters. When you hit one of the bugs with a coconut or pineapple, you get 30 points. For each consecutive hit with the same coconut or pineapple, you get an additional 30 times the number of bugs hit; the second hit is worth 60 additional points, then 90 additional points, etc.

The total amount of points earned for hitting bugs is as follows:

  • 1 Hit - 30 points
  • 2 Hits - 90 points
  • 3 Hits - 180 points
  • 4 Hits - 300 points
  • 5 Hits - 450 points

When you begin a game, one of three layouts will be used. Each layout has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Controls

Use the left and right arrow keys to move left and right, respectively. The up arrow key is used to jump. Holding the down arrow key will let the monkey fall through branches to lower branches.

Trophy

The trophy was only obtainable during a limited time for a Trophy Challenge.

Tips

  • Only drop pineapples and coconuts when you are as sure as possible that you will be able to hit a spider, fly, or bee with it. Dropping these without removing any bugs is wasteful and will make it more difficult to continue the game.
  • The more bugs on the screen, the more difficult the game, so play accordingly!
  • Bees are the number-one priority when using pineapples and coconuts. Flies are the second-most important.
  • When a bug first appears on the screen, it flashes a color before becoming a part of the game. You can touch them without being hurt while they flash.
  • Use the down arrow to fall through branches as often as possible, as opposed to dropping off the edges. Falling off the edges of branches causes the monkey to fall in a curved path rather than a straight one, which is more dangerous.
  • Patience is rewarded in this game more than many others. Keep calm and plan your moves well ahead as you wait for paths to open up to grab bananas.
