Hey there! I had a harebrained idea that I wanted to run past you guys that frequently edit & are currently active. Us as WPG editors & admins need a place for discussions that's not able to be viewed by the public, but to also be able to have conversations among all of us, which is rather difficult when we're limited to each others' user pages. I have went through all collection pages and adding missing items. They should be all up to date. It shouldn't be too hard to keep up with the collections pages as long as when a new item that is released fits a certain category it gets added right away. There's a significant amount of slippers that I would like to make that a separate collection page (instead of including them in shoes), but there already is a Character Slipper page. Do you think that would be too redundant to have both? Littleleaf32 (talk) 17:38, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

For the shoe collection, I'm wondering if I should divide that collection up into several collections (heels, sandals, boots, etc) because there is bound to be a lot of shoes. Also I'm almost done adding all the hats to the collection page and now I'm thinking I should have done the same thing with the hats (caps, hats, helmets, etc.). Any thoughts on this? I think I have gone through and added all the estore items to the appropriate pages. Some of the pages themselves might need some better sorting. There also might be some promo items in the estore sections that shouldn't be. Littleleaf32 (talk) 02:46, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

I'll take a look at the eStore Picture Guide pages and see if I can get at least a start on updating them, and as far as the master list, I think it's safe to stop entering the even numbers. I see what you mean by the file usage list not being correct, that's totally weird & new since I've been inactive. I did some toying around, and while I didn't make any changes, I re-saved the community codes page the Nest Fridge is on, then refreshed the file page, and the list was correct. So there's a workaround at least. It looks like ShoutWiki (the hosting platform the WPG is built on) is going to be updating their MediaWiki Software (the wiki coding itself) tomorrow morning, so it will be interesting to see if that fixes the incorrect file usage list issue. I've got some free time these days, a solid laptop, and a desk, so lmk if you need my assistance in the wiki anywhere. I've been gone so long I wouldn't even know where to start LOL. Are the masterlists up to date? I don't even know what the maintenance schedule for webkinz is these days. --choircutie 01:15, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

I'm terrible at checking the WPG these days, so would be more than happy to give you further permissions for the wiki! Current pets = plush pets you can still purchase, retired pets = plush pets you can no longer produced, estore pets = currently available at estore, promo pets = no longer available at estore/limited time availability. Littleleaf32 (talk) 00:39, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

It's the classes file yeah. Though I also have access to all 4 files a pet uses at any time. How should this work? I do have access to all their emotions down to the saddest. It would be best for a general list to keep all of them neutral so then they look somewhat consistent, I'll see about getting images of those. I don't know if this is already a page or not but I was thinking about the random furniture items that don't really have a theme that are in the w-shop like the golden rose bed. Random question. So I've been away for a while and haven't been able to keep up on helping with deleting spam. I was wondering if there was a way to set up the wiki where you have to log in and create an account to make any edits on here? I know the fandom/wikia has an option for that and I noticed many spam posts are from random IP addresses. Perhaps that may deter some spam bots?--Rosalaun (talk) 03:57, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

this is why i asked if there was some social area like a discord or something where this or even just the game in general is talked about in a manner that isn't just the stuff you find on reddit or whatnot

took a look before managed to find it. it's called items if you're looking with devtools and nothing more

although it isn't much more. a few entries pertaining to the current buildup event.

i can't post there anyway. was going to join a few years back, forgot, by the time i remembered captcha was shut down (v1, which is what they used), so i can't get on there shame too actually. their full pets list is duplicated and i have no way of contacting anybody to let them know that haha.

hmm. because the pets are in a similar database and have an swf with all of their properties including dummied out entries, so i figure there has to be one for items right?

I would imagine there's some file with all of it in a list somewhere i just wouldn't know which one. It'd be helpful, do you just brute-force every number? I say that because I very easily found the pet one so I figure there has to be one for items somewhere

Hiya bepsy! You have been upgraded to administrator now, so you should be able to edit away. Sorry about that, I didn't realize Choircutie didn't upgrade you. We protect most pages from being edited by anyone below the administrator rank because that's the only way to control spammers on the wiki.
