Trick or Treat is a Halloween event that runs in the [[Clubhouse]] during October. The event was first introduced in October 2009. When the Ghost (Spooky Hamster in 2010) appears in the Clubhouse, players can click on it to receive one of twelve candy prizes. Players who collect all twelve prizes unlock the Grand Prize. Only one Grand Prize can be obtained per account.

==How to Play==
The Trick or Treat was a Halloween event in the Clubhouse thatoriginally ran from October 24 through to November 1,as 2009.follows:
* Players had to be in the room before the Ghost appeared.
When the ghost was seen in the clubhouse, you clicked on it and were rewarded with one of 12 tasty treats. If you collected all 12 treats, you unlocked a special prize!
* When the Ghost appeared, a "BOOOO" sound occurred.
* When players clicked on the Ghost to receive a piece of candy, the words "Trick-or-Treat" appeared over their pets' heads.
* When players checked their candy collection, a pumpkin appeared over their pets' heads

==How to Find the Ghost==
In 2009, the Ghost moved between Clubhouse rooms approximately once per minute. Players could rotate between rooms or wait in one room until the Ghost appeared. When the Ghost appeared, players could click on it to receive a piece of candy.
After a great deal of tracking and reporting, members were able to have a very good idea when to find the ghost on their accounts.

In 2010, the Spooky Mazin' Hamster appeared in place of the Ghost. Spooky also moved between Clubhouse rooms approximately once per minute, and players could rotate between rooms or wait in one room until Spooky appeared. When Spooky appeared, players could click on him to receive a piece of candy.

In 2011, the Ghost returned to the Clubhouse. Similar to previous years, the Ghost moved between rooms approximately once per minute, and players could rotate between rooms or wait in one room until it appeared. When the Ghost appeared, players could click on it to receive a piece of candy.
 
From 2012 onward, the Ghost remained in Reading Room during the entire event. Players could visit the Ghost and click on it to receive a piece of candy.
Once the Ghost was seen for the first time on the account, you had to make note of the color of your phone, the name of the room and the exact time you saw the ghost. When you returned in three hours to try to find him again you had to choose the same color phone. The rooms rotated.
 
==Candy Collection Timing==
Like with Doug the Dog, the Ghost did not always show up in every room number of the type of room he was supposed to be in.
In 2009, players could collect candy once every three hours. Toward the end of the event, the time was lowered to every two hours, and then to every hour.
 
In 2010, players could collect candy once every three hours. On October 25, 2010, the time was lowered to every two hours for the remainder of the event.
It seemed that each server was on a different pattern and many people were trying to figure out what server they were on to try to figure out the pattern. Although knowing your server number might help you match up with other members on the same server this was NOT necessary.
 
From 2011–2015, players could collect candy once every three hours for the entire event.

In 2016 the timing of the candy collection changed: Players could collect candy once every six hours for the entire event. This timing has continued for every subsequent Trick or Treat event. After collecting the grand prize, players may continue to click on the Ghost every six hours to collect additional candy. However, the grand prize may only be won once per account.

==How to Play=2010===
The 2010 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20–31, 2010.
In 2009, players hunted in the Clubhouse for a Trick or Treat Ghost.
 
In 2010, Ganz changed things and sent Spooky the Mazin' Hamster to the Clubhouse.
 
Trick or Treating in Webkinz World is as simple as hanging out in the Clubhouse. If Spooky pops up in your room, click on him and you will be rewarded with a piece of candy.
 
When Spooky enters a room, he makes a "Boooo!" sound, so make sure to have your computer speakers turned on. This way you can have more than one screen open on your computer, and you'll be able to flip back to Webkinz World the moment Spooky appears. He only remains in each room for about a minute, so move quickly.
 
Every player gets a spider Trick or Treat bag that is displayed on the bottom-right corner of the screen. Clicking on this bag will bring up your current candy collection. When a player in the clubhouse checks his collection, a Jack O'Lantern will appear above his pet's head.
 
After a pet has received a piece of candy from Spooky, the words "TRICK OR TREAT" will appear above that pet's head.
 
==How to Find Spooky==
 
Unlike other Hamsters in Webkinz World, the Trick or Treat Spooky carries a small jack o'lantern and is surrounded by a strange green glow. Webkinz Insider members are tracking Spooky to see if there is a pattern to his appearances.

If you don't want to jump around and try to figure out what room Spooky is in, just park your pet in one room and stay there. Eventually, Spooky will show up where you are. Currently, you can collect candy every three hours but last year the times were shortened as we got closer to Halloween.
 
UPDATE: October 25 - You can now collect candy every 2 hours.

Find the Trick or Treat Ghost in the Clubhouse from October 20, 2011 to October 31, 2011. If you find the Ghost, click on him and he will award you with candy! There are 12 candies to collect.
