Trick or Treat: Difference between revisions

In 2009, Ganz had their first ever Trick or Treat event in Webkinz World. The Trick or Treat event is a Halloween event in the Clubhouse that runs during the month of October. When the ghost (Spooky in 2010) is seen in the Clubhouse, you click on it and are rewarded with one of 12 tasty treats. If you collect all 12 treats, you unlock a Grand Prize. Players can only win one Grand Prize per account.

The Trick or Treat event ran as follows:

* You had to be in the room before the Ghost (Spooky in 2010) appeared.

* When the Ghost (Spooky in 2010) appeared, you heard a spooky "BOOOO" sound.

* When pets received a piece of candy. the words "Trick-or-Treat" appeared over their heads.

* When pets were checking their candy collection, a pumpkin appeared over heir heads

In 2009, players hunted in the Clubhouse for a Trick or Treat Ghost. The Ghost kept moving from one Clubhouse room to another every minute or so. In order to find the Ghost, players could either jump around and try to figure out what room it was in or just park their pet in one room and stay there. Eventually, the Ghost would show up where you are and when it did you clicked on it and were rewarded with a piece of candy.

In 2010, Ganz changed things and sent Spooky the Mazin' Hamster to the Clubhouse. Spooky also moved from one Clubhouse room to another every about every minute. As with the previous year players could jump to different rooms or stay in one room until they found Spooky. Once Spooky was found, players would click on him and be rewarded with a piece of candy.

In 2011, Ganz brought back the Ghost to the Clubhouse. Similar to previous years, the Ghost kept moving from one Clubhouse room to another every few minutes and in order to get candy from it, you had to be in the same room as the Ghost.

From 2012 onward, the Ghost stayed in the Reading Room during the entire event, and players didn't need to go searching for him.

==Candy Collection Timelines==

In 2009 you could only get one piece of candy every 3 hours. Towards the end of the event, this time was lowered to every two hours, and then to every hour.

In 2010 you could only get one piece of candy every 3 hours. On October 25, 2010, this time was lowered to every two hours for the remainder of the event.

From 2011 to 2015 you could only get one piece of candy every 3 hours for the entire event.

In 2016 the timing of the candy collection changed and you could only get one piece of candy every 6 hours for the entire event. This timing has continued for every Trick or Treat event since then.

If you collected all 12 pieces of candy, you unlocked the Grand Prize - the ''' Jack o'Lantern'''!

* You could only win one Grand Prize Jack o'Lantern per account.

* You could customize your Jack o'Lantern by choosing the eyes, nose and mouth.

* The Jack o'Lantern cannot be traded, sold, or Kinzposted.

The 2010 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2010 to October 31, 2010

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2010 Jack O'Lantern" they can customize and display in their Webkinz homes.

The 2010 Jack O'Lantern is similar to the 2009 Jack O'Lantern, but it has 5 new eyes, nose, and mouth choices each.

The 2011 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2011 to October 31, 2011

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2011 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the player to customize the face.

The 2012 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2012 to October 31, 2012

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2012 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the player to customize the face.

The 2013 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2013 to October 31, 2013

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2013 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the player to customize the face.

The 2014 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2014 to October 31, 2014

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2014 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the player to customize the face.

The 2015 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2015 to October 31, 2015

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Witch's Broomstick". Player's pets can ride this item.

The 2016 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2016 to October 31, 2016

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Freaky Forest Wallpaper". This wallpaper can be placed in any indoor room.

The 2017 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2017 to October 31, 2017

The 2018 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2018 to October 31, 2018

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Haunted Organ". This is an animated item that plays music when it is clicked on.

The 2019 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2019 to October 31, 2019

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Spooky Speedster". Player's pets can ride this item.

The 2020 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2020 to October 31, 2020

The 2021 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2021 to October 31, 2021

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Glampire Bed". This is an item from the 2021 Webkinz Next Halloween "Glampire" room theme.
