The first ornament code entered gives the player a

Prior to November 2015, each ornament code entered gave the player just three decorations to use: a copy of the ornament and two more decoration items. Series 1 ornament codes come included with a physical tree ornament, unlike series 2 and 3, which only have virtual ornaments. After November 2015, entering just one series 1 ornament code unlocks the Make-it-Merry Christmas Tree as well as all available decorations for the tree. Additionally, Make-it-Merry Christmas Trees already on accounts were updated to include all decoration options. The tree can be decorated by clicking on it in play mode and then selecting which decorations you want in the menu that pops up. Your selections will automatically be saved, but you may need to leave and re-enter the room that your tree is in to see your changes. You can switch the decorations at any time.
If the codes from a complete series of ornaments are entered, the player gets a "Festive Fireplace".
