In 2009, Ganz had their first ever Trick or Treat event in Webkinz World. The Trick or Treat event is a Halloween event that runs in the [[Clubhouse]] thatduring runsOctober. duringThe theevent monthwas offirst introduced in October 2009. When the ghostGhost (Spooky Hamster in 2010) is seenappears in the Clubhouse, youplayers can click on it andto are rewarded withreceive one of 12twelve tastycandy treatsprizes. IfPlayers youwho collect all 12twelve treats, youprizes unlock athe Grand Prize. PlayersOnly canone onlyGrand winPrize onecan Grandbe Prizeobtained per account.

The Trick or Treat event originally ran as follows:

* When players clicked on the Ghost (Spookyto inreceive 2010)a appeared,piece youof heardcandy, athe spookywords "BOOOOTrick-or-Treat" soundappeared over their pets' heads.

* When petsplayers receivedchecked a piece oftheir candy. thecollection, wordsa "Trick-or-Treat"pumpkin appeared over their heads.pets' heads

In 2009, players hunted in the Clubhouse for a Trick or Treat Ghost. Themoved Ghost kept moving from onebetween Clubhouse roomrooms toapproximately anotheronce everyper minute or so. In order to find the Ghost, playersPlayers could eitherrotate jumpbetween around and try to figure out what room it was inrooms or just park their petwait in one room anduntil staythe thereGhost appeared. Eventually,When the Ghost wouldappeared, showplayers upcould where you are and when it did you clickedclick on it and were rewardedto withreceive a piece of candy.

In 2010, Ganz changed things and sentthe Spooky the Mazin' Hamster toappeared in place of the ClubhouseGhost. Spooky also moved from onebetween Clubhouse roomrooms toapproximately anotheronce every about everyper minute., As with the previous yearand players could jumprotate to differentbetween rooms or staywait in one room until theySpooky found Spookyappeared. OnceWhen Spooky was foundappeared, players wouldcould click on him and be rewardedto withreceive a piece of candy.

In 2011, Ganz brought back the Ghost returned to the Clubhouse. Similar to previous years, the Ghost keptmoved movingbetween fromrooms oneapproximately Clubhouseonce roomper tominute, anotherand everyplayers fewcould minutesrotate andbetween inrooms orderor towait getin candyone room fromuntil it appeared. When the Ghost appeared, youplayers hadcould toclick beon init theto samereceive rooma aspiece theof Ghostcandy.

InFrom 20162011–2015, theplayers timingcould of thecollect candy collection changed and you could only get one piece of candyonce every 6three hours for the entire event. This timing has continued for every Trick or Treat event since then.

Players who collect all oftwelve the candycandies receive a "2010 Jack O'Lantern" they canto customize and display in their Webkinz homes.

The 2010 Jack O'Lantern is similar to the 2009 Jack O'Lantern, but it has 5five new choices for each eyes, nose, and mouth choices each.

The 2011 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2011 to October 3120–31, 2011.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2011 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the playerplayers to customize the face.

The 2012 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2012 to October 3120–31, 2012.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "2012 Jack O'Lantern" to display in their Webkinz homes. The lantern allows the playerplayers to customize the face.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Freaky Forest Wallpaper". ThisThe wallpaper can be placed in any indoor room.

The 2017 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2017 to October 3120–31, 2017.

The 2018 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2018 to October 3120–31, 2018.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Haunted Organ". This is an animated item that plays music when it is clicked on.

The 2019 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2019 to October 3120–31, 2019.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Spooky Speedster". PlayerPlayers's pets can ride this item.

The 2020 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2020 to October 3120–31, 2020.

The 2021 Trick or Treat event ran from October 20, 2021 to October 3120–31, 2021.

Players who collect all of the candy receive a "Glampire Bed". This is an item from the 2021 Webkinz Next Halloween "[[Glampire" Theme|Glampire]] room theme.
