Zumbuddies are a fictional species that reside in Zumwhere and made their debut in Webkinz World during 2009. In October 2009, plush toys that include Feature Codes which can be used to unlock Zumwhere were released. Each Zumbuddy code also gives a pet buddy that can follow Webkinz or Lil Kinz around. The first five Zumbuddies or Zumbuddy Klips that a player purchases will unlock a new Zum Room in Zumwhere. After that, the player will be awarded a new Zum Room every five Zumbuddies.
Species
Bratty Zums
Bratty Zums are stubborn little creatures and are famous for popping up in peculiar places. Bratty Zums often try to stay up well past their bedtimes and tend to throw temper tantrums if they don't get what they want.

Zippy Zums
Regarded as the fastest group of Zums, Zippy Zums are quite hard to spot. They always have somewhere they need to be and are never late for work. The best time to spot a Zippy Zum is while it's resting.

Sweet Zums
No official species description was ever provided by Ganz, due to them not appearing in the Zum Field Guide. However, each of the four members of the Sweet Zums have been described with individual personality traits.
Zike: Zike is curious about everything and likes to conduct small science experiments! Pets with inquisitive minds will love hanging out with Zike.
Zilma: Zilma is very artsy and really enjoys reading mystery novels! Only very creative pets will be able to keep up with Zilma.
Zofia: Zofia has a great mind for numbers and loves math problems! It takes a pet with sharp problem-solving skills to match up with Zofia.
Zorbo: Zorbo really likes to play sports and help teammates improve their skills! Pets who value fair play and exercise will get along well with Zorbo.

Zumwhere
Main Article: Zumwhere
Zumwhere is the virtual world where your Zums live and play. Zumwhere can be located in the Magical Forest.
Like Webkinz, Zums are pets that can be taken care of and played with, but unlike normal pets, they cannot be directly controlled by the player. The player may purchase Zum-specific items from the Z-Shop with the currency Zummies for furniture for both the Zum Rooms and your home. KinzCash can be spent to provide your Zums with consumable food and toys to give to their Zum. The Zum Room functions similar to Webkinz' rooms: the option to purchase and edit rooms are available, a button to zoom is placed above, and even a miniature dock is present to hold and organize Zum items.
