Webkinz Cares was a program launched in June 2008 that introduced Lil'Kinz pets with additional feature codes. $1.00 from the sale of each Webkinz Cares pet went directly to the Webkinz Foundation, a non-profit designed to benefit children. These Webkinz Cares pets were only available at Walgreens stores, and were identical to existing Lil'Kinz pets with the exception of the red Webkinz Cares tag.

Prizes

Using the Webkinz Cares tag code in the Code Shop unlocks a special set of prizes. There is a Webkinz Foundation theme made up of Webkinz Cares that can only be obtained through these feature codes, as well as items from Caring Valley. Using one of these feature codes also unlocks a Webkinz Cares game which can be played once a day for five days.

The following is a list of the possible prizes that could be obtained when entering a code:

Game

The Webkinz Cares game is a game that is only accessible through the Code Shop. It is similar to the Wheel of WOW or other prize awarding games like the Big Button of KinzCash, as it awards a prize when a button is pushed. The game can only be played five times per code redemption, and it awards prizes to both the user who played the game and another random Webkinz World user.

Caring Valley

Caring Valley was an extension of the Webkinz Cares initiative, introduced in 2009. Caring Valley Pets have special green tags (similar to the red tags on Webkinz Cares pets) that unlock saplings in Caring Valley. Each feature code unlocks four saplings, as well as an Enchanted Tree. There are five sections in Caring Valley - Play and Thrive, Learn for the Future, Health Leaders, Dare to Discover, and Caring Round the World. Each is linked to a different charity that Ganz supports through the Webkinz Foundation. Planting a sapling in one of these areas is like casting a vote for it - Ganz will donate money to each charity based on the amount of saplings planted in Caring Valley.

The Caring Valley was retired in January 2013, though Enchanted Trees can still be unlocked when the codes are used in the Code Shop.
